Understanding the precedence to permit one gas provider per municipality in the State, I request special consideration be given to this application by allowing Elizabethtown Gas Company approval to provide gas in the area in Byram Township west of County Rt. 605 (Stanhope Road) and north of the Conrail line. The topography in this part of the State has determined the natural community boundaries more so than municipal lines and therefore when reviewing the service area currently being developed in the Sparta Township - Lake Mohawk area, the inclusion of the Byram Township section within the above mentioned area should be deemed pragmatic and logically warranting exception to multi-utility/town permitting. This matter is of particular importance to 250+ residential homes in the Lake Mohawk community alone, many of who have been waiting to replace failing heating systems with more efficient and cost effective natural gas units. It is a challenge to justify the inability to connect to the utility which is within a stones throw from the front door based on a permitting technicality. I appreciate your time and consideration of this matter. Kindest regards - Sabine Watson, PE Lake Mohawk Country Club Engineer
